Cavill Robinson Financial Recruitment was established in Cambridge in 1992 in the depths of the last recession to specialise in both temporary and permanent accountancy recruitment at all levels from Accounts Clerks through to Finance Directors.
It has always been independent, being owned by Jeanette Robinson MREC, who has nearly 25 years’ experience of the accountancy recruitment markets of Cambridgeshire and London. She has been both a Board Director and Chair of the Employment Policy Committee for the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. In both these roles, she has been active in lobbying for the UK in Brussels on the forthcoming Agency Workers' Directive and has been part of a Commission, which includes the CBI, TUC, CIPD, and the REC to look at how this can be best implemented. In December 2008, she was awarded an Honarary Fellowship by the Board of the REC for her services to the recruitment indusry.
Cavill Robinson's longevity and independence mean that its strong links with local companies and candidates go back further than any of its direct competitors with the exception of Hays. Relationships with many clients date back to 1992 and have endured because of the principles of service and honesty that the company was founded on.
Cavill Robinson has a strong training ethos. Consultants receive one to one training with Jeanette and this is supplemented by day to day coaching by managers and external REC courses. Each consultant has two appraisals a year to discuss their performance and assess further training needs. All this helps to ensure that we don’t just talk about quality – we deliver it.
As a small independent, we view the business that both clients and candidates bring to us as highly important. We look after both to the best of our ability because the way we deal with clients and candidates affects departments, careers and also the future of our business.
