1. How much would an accountant/purchase ledger clerk etc cost me? What am I currently worth?
For the answers to both of these questions, please refer to our salary calculator. This is updated on a quarterly basis but if you need further information, please call our Cambridge or Peterborough offices.
2. How many candidates do you have on your database?
Around two thousand people register with Cavill Robinson each year and by law we have to keep records for twelve months.
3. What's the market like at the moment?
Please refer to “Current State of the Market” for the answers to this question.
4. What is the likelihood of me finding work?
This is always a difficult question for a recruitment consultant to answer. If we are too enthusiastic about your chances and you don’t find work, it is easy to accuse us of being misleading. If we are gloomy about your prospects, you will think us too negative.
Your likelihood of finding work always depends on the current economic conditions (see our section on "Current State of The Market"), the work we put in and most importantly, your attitude to your job hunt. If you are determined to get a job, you will, sooner or later, get one. Sometimes it just takes more perseverance than at other times. Look at our section on "Candidate Advice" to maximise your chances and we would like to wish you good luck!!
5. Why do we only do accountancy recruitment?
Jeanette Robinson, Cavill Robinson’s owner, started her career with Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC) in London. This gave her a good understanding of accountancy which she has been able to pass on to her staff.
This means that we are able to have a good understanding of both clients’ and candidates’ requirements, which we would not be confident of having in other areas of recruitment.
6. What levels of people do you deal with?
We deal with all levels of people from Accounts Clerks to Finance Directors, both temporary and permanent.
