Duties: This medium sized practice, based near Bedford, is seeking to recruit a Tax Manager, preferably CTA qualified, to work closely with the Tax Partner in delivering all aspects of the firm’s tax advisory and compliance services. This is a very varied role and will include tax planning for both individuals and companies, including groups of companies, along with giving advice and producing reports and correspondence on aspects of taxation. You will deal with technical queries from non-tax specialist partners and staff; deal with complex HMRC tax investigation enquiries and research technical tax issues. You will also review work prepared by other members of the tax team including personal and corporation tax returns as well as assisting in running internal training sessions. Ideally you will have experience of delivering complex tax advisory services across different taxes and be at least two years’ post qualified within a multi-partner practice. You will be technically strong with a good knowledge of both private client taxes and corporate/business taxes coupled with the ability to build strong working relationships with staff and clients.
