My client is urgently seeking a Financial Accountant who is either qualified or a Finalist with social housing experience for 12 months. Duties will include:

  • Supporting the day to day delivery of operational financial transactions including the signing off of reconciliations and control accounts
  • Supporting, maintaining and improving the internal control assurance framework and ensuring all internal audit recommendations are addressed properly
  • Leading the fraud policy and keeping up to date with new and emerging fraud attempts
  • Production of quarterly returns to funders and annual statutory accounts
  • Production of CIS and VAT monthly tax returns - this will require knowledge of VAT partial exemption
