Cavill Robinson are working on an exclusive basis with this family owned SME, which is proud of its culture of innovation, excellent customer service and employee engagement. With customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech, agrochemical and chemical markets, the company is intending to be a market leader in its field within five years.

They are now looking to recruit a hands on Director of Finance, working from the office and managing two staff. Key responsibilities in this Director of Finance role will include:

  • Mentoring and overseeing two finance staff and checking their output
  • Working closely with other members of the senior management team and the Managing Director
  • The ability to implement an ERP system and ensure robust processes for the growth of the business
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and finance pack
  • Budgeting including variance analysis
  • Cash management
  • All aspects of monthly payroll for 60 staff
  • Hands on transactional matters and journals when needed
  • Dealing with HR and insurance issues 
This Director of Finance role will require you to roll your sleeves up at times and deal with hands on accounting but at the same time, the company wants an individual, who has previous experience of being a Director of Finance and is able to add value to a growing company. You must be a qualified accountant.

There is an £80,000 to £100,000 benefits package for this Director of Finance role and it is down to the individual as to how much of that they want as salary and how much they want to spend on other benefits such as health insurace/car etc. There is also a discretionary bonus, which adds substantially to the salary package. The company holds a number of company events throughout the year, has flexible working hours, six weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays and a pension contribution.
