This exciting Head of Finance role will allow you to add value to a company, which has a £7 million turnover and has recently been acquired by a group after being owner managed for many years. The group is building a global presence and has one other UK company of a similar size based near Cambridge . You would have involvement in both companies. The change of ownership requires changes to their finance reporting and key responsibilities would include:
  • Changing the quarterly management accounts to monthly using Sage 50 Cloud
  • Overseeing and mentoring 3 staff and possibly restructuring their workload if needed
  • Speeding up the reporting process by introducing new systems and processes as needed
  • Introducing any analysis or breakdown of figures that may be useful to the local management
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Overseeing the accounts production in the Cambridge office, looking at the systems and procedures there
  • Assisting in the year end and audit process though to completion of statutory accounts
  • Hands on accounting when needed including VAT, payroll, sales invoicing etc
The business requires a qualified accountant who is both hands on in their accounting but can also see the bigger picture. You must have the ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels throughout the business and be self motivated and a strong team player. Ideally, you will have experience within a software environment. Experience of Sage 50 Cloud would also be useful.
