With a turnover of £5million, my client is an established leader in its field, based in central Cambridge. It has been experiencing steady growth which is forecast to continue and is expected to come from its American operations. It now has an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant, who is either looking to step up or for a new challenge, to join its senior management team as Head of Finance.
This is an all-round role, which will include the following areas:
• Management of a small team
• All management and financial accounting
• Sales and expenditure reporting
• Preparing and administering twice yearly royalty run
• Budgeting
• Cashflow forecasting
• US payroll and tax return
• VAT Returns and EC submission
• Use of Access Dimensions and Excel
Ideally, you will have experience in an environment where royalties and checking contracts to determine their correct amount are important areas within the accounts. You will have good communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders within the business and a knowledge of Access Dimensions and good Excel skills would be preferable.
In return, the company offers a friendly working environment, 25 days’ holiday rising to 30 days after 3 years’ service, a contributory pension, discounted gym membership and flexible working.
