This Commercial Financial Analyst post is a highly commercial role, where your strong analytical skills will be appreciated and add value. My client is a fast growing company based North of Cambridge and they will be highly interested in your CV if you have experience of the following:
  • The ability to see trends on projects regarding costs and revenue
  • Creating budgets and forecasts ensuring all revenue and costs are captured and to do reforecasting where necessary
  • The ability to gain a strong understanding of costs and revenue on different projects and liaise with the Operations Team to achieve this
  • Weekly cost variance analysis
  • Analysing margins on projects and finding ways of presenting this to non financial people
  • Managing and analysing WIP 
  • Assessing risks and opportunities at the beginning of a project
  • Understanding how revenue relates to cash in bank
  • Ad hoc analysis
To gain an interview for this Commercial Financial Analyst role, you must be able to demonstrate exceptionally strong analytical skills coupled with strong Excel and database skills. You will be highly commercial with the ability to understand pricing, costs and profit coupled with the ability to build strong relationships through excellent communication and presentation skills.
