My client, based near Ely, has a six month Interim role for an Inventory Accountant/Systems Accountant. This  role will involve:

  • Analysing, mapping and documenting inventory financial processes using JD Edwards
  • Automating and creating BOM's from manual information
  • Engaging with business stake holders including the MD and General Manager
  • Testing system changes to ensure the accounting entries in the GL and stock interlink correctly

To be successful in this Inventory Accountant/Systems Accountant role, you will be able to prove that you have experience of the following:

  • Creation of BOM's
  • Valuation of inventory at different stages of the manufacturing process
  • Implementing BOM's in an ERP system
  • Experience of accounting for raw materials, WIP and finished goods within a manufacturing environment
  • Utilisation of direct labour reporting using an ERP system
  • Overhead/labour cost absorption into inventory
