My client is a long standing, family owned, high end artisan bakery with 13 shops. Recently, they have installed a new system and now they need you to use that to its full capacity to improve data analysis and management of their shop operations. Your eye for detail will add immense value to the role, which consists of:
  • Visiting shops and creating good relationships with the shop managers in order to give them effective support
  • Assisting the shop managers in understanding where they can improve sales, product ordering and reduce waste and costs
  • Analysing and acting on data produced by the new system to spot trends and identify problems
  • Analysing shop performance, comparing them against each other and investigating variances
  • Having the capability to lead meetings and communicating well both written and verbally
  • Understanding cash handling and basic bookkeeping skills would be beneficial
Ideally to secure an interview, you will need to have a basic understanding of bookkeeping and an eye for detail coupled with strong IT skills. You will also have strong analytical skills. Your ability to build strong business relationships through being persuasive and explaining figures clearly to people who may not easily understand them, will be second to none. Ideally, you will have come from a retail environment although other applications will be considered.
