You'll be reporting to a super supportive Senior Management Accountant , who sees key aspects of the role as being:
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts including cashflows, cost centre reports, variance analysis in these areas.
  • Monthly preparation of TB including accruals, prepayments and other ad hoc journals
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Looking at the breakdown of budget figures and looking at trends and variances 
  • Providing support to the purchase ledger department
  • Assisting with year end routines which will involve liaison with auditors
  • Assisting with ongoing development of systems

What do you need to be chosen for an interview? As mentioned, you'll be in the early stages of your finance qualification, be flexible in your approach with an enquiring mind that never just assumes figures are correct. The ability to spot issues will be very useful.
