My client, a growing company in the centre of Cambridge, has an urgent vacancy for a strong, all round Purchase Ledger Clerk.  You will be capable of working well on your own, using your own initiative and as part of a small finance team.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm with an hour for lunch.  Duties will include:

  • Processing all Supplier invoices, approx. 250 invoices per month
  • Maintaining a purchase ledger of approx. 85 suppliers
  • Posting of Bank payments
  • Posting of journals
  • Setting up of supplier payments
  • Creating spreadsheets and pivot tables
  • Checking and approving expenses, approx 15 employees per month
  • Managing 7 company vehicles (recording mileage and keeping up with HMRC regulations)
  • Recording of Co2 usage (keeping track of KW usage for annual reporting)
  • Good understanding of trial balance
  • Good knowledge of VAT regulations when coding of expenses and other supplier costs
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
