My client is an SME based south of Cambridge and they are now looking for someone for 4 - 6 months for a contract role. It is more likely to last 6 months but at this stage they can not guarantee that. The role will be principally from home. If covid restrictions are reduced and infection rates drop down late spring, there may be a requirement for 1-2 days a week in the office in the 2nd half of the contract.
The role requires an ACA or ACCA with a few years post qualification experience and a tenacious, pro-active attitude. This is the first year the company has been audited and this ACA/ACCA Contractor will work with the team preparing the accounts to ensure there is a well documented trail from the management accounts to the financial reporting. They will liaise with the auditors to ensure they have all the information and back up that they need and this will involve being pro active and tenacious in ensuring that information is forthcoming from different departments within the business.
In addition, this ACA/ACCA Contractor will have analytical work such as looking at gross margins, product mix and price volume for which excellent Excel skills are needed.
The ideal candidate will be pro-active and tenacious with a clear understanding of flows of financial information gained from training within an auditing background and followed by at least two years in financial accounting within an SME, transaction services or mergers and acquisitions. They will have excellent communication skills and an analytical mind combined with a solution focussed approach.
