The role would suit either a qualified accountant or a qualified by experience, who has been doing a similar job. Key aspects to this Finance Manager role include:
Managing a small team of two
Preparing the monthly P+L
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Splitting costs between c. 25 cost centres and liaising with the Heads of Departments regarding this
Inventory control - this is currently a manual process and will need automating
Cashfllow and budget preparation
Managing the tax compliance process - VAT, R&D tax claims, corporation tax
Managing the year end process
Dealing with company car and insurance renewal
Standard costing knowledge would be desirable
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role will be a qualified accountant or qualified through experience with good Excel skills and a warm, friendly personality.
