Reporting to the CFO and working within the educational sector, this is a Finance Manager role with a difference. If you want your job to not only challenge you but provide a purpose and be satisfying, then this could be the perfect role for you. Key aspects to the role will include:

  • Staff management, mentoring and development of a small team
  • Monthly management accounts including ensuring all journals have been posted correctly, bank and balance sheet reconciliations have been done correctly
  • Financial year end accounting

  • Variance analysis of key overheads
  • Improving and developing systems and procedures
  • Overview and understanding of payroll
  • Financial analysis

In order to be successful in applying for this Finance Manager role, it must be clear from your CV that you have had relevant experience of the above. In particular, you must have strong people management skills. Ideally you will have used Sage 200 although this is not essential. You will also ideally have had some internal or external auditing experience in order to improve systems and procedures within the department.

In return, the organisation offers an exceptional benefits package, which includes but is not limited to:
  • 30 days' holiday (pro rata for part time and term time)
  • Subsidised on site parking
  • Free on site covered bike parking
  • Contributory pension scheme - matching up to 6%
  • Private health and dental plan after 2 years' service

The client is keen to progress this and will be interviewing the week beginning 9th August so if this is of interest, you need to send your CV as soon as you can to be assessed.
