This is an ideal role for a first move out of practice into industry. My client is a growing international life sciences business with headquarters in Cambridge. They are now searching for an outstanding individual, who wants to see their career develop to do the following initially:

  • Oversee and check monthly management accounts for multiple entities
  • Statutory accounts
  • Liaise with the company's tax advisors on tax computations
  • Consolidate accounts of the US and UK entities
  • Oversee and check payrolls for several companies
  • Assist with budgeting
On a longer term basis, you would be involved in the following:
  • Looking at trends and profitability
  • Helping to develop the internal controls

To be successful in this Financial Accountant role, you must be someone with the capability to not only do what is required but someone who is constantly thinking about ways to improve on what is already done. In addition, you must have strong interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail.
