In recent years, this company has been going from strength to strength - just like you. Now it needs your great analysis and communication skills to work closely with Operations to develop not only the business but your commercial accounting abilities.

Key responsibilities will look like this:
  • You'll run weekly and  monthly P+L's and dive into the numbers. You'll use your strong analysis skills to look at trends and variances, whether that's issues with a particular contract or labour costs or productivity
  • You'll have regular meetings with senior management to discuss issues in the numbers and flag them up
  • You'll also have regular contact with Operations to question the figures they give you, if needed, to ensure they are in line with P+L's . You'll need to build strong relationships with Ops to do this and this is where your great personality will win the day.
  • You'll be keeping an eye on all the contract costs, checking that costs make sense on all of them and making management aware if something look out of sync.
What do you need for this role, which will undoubtedly take you further in your career?
  • If you enjoy playing with numbers and have strong analytical abilities then you'll have fun in this role
  • You'll also have strong Excel abilities and a personality, which is able to persuade people to listen to you and give you the information you need. Sometimes it might take a bit of persistence too.
  • You'll be hungry to develop yourself and won't be frightened of challenging information that doesn't seem right to you.
  • Ideally, you will have an AAT or be in the early stages of your CIMA or ACCA qualification though if you are further through your studies, please, don't be put off from applying if you think this looks interesting.
And what can you expect in the way of benefits?
  • WFH - up to 2 days a week, but you can work full time in the office if you want to
  • Study support and a great boss, who will help you get to where you want to be
  • 25 days' holiday
  • Plenty of parking
  • Close to the guided bus route
