One of my most interesting clients to work for has a four month assignment for a strong all round Finance Assistant. The assignment may go on longer but that at this stage is not guaranteed.

The role has two aspects to it. The first is as follows:
  • Data input into their new Oracle Fusion system in order to maximise the accuracy of reports such as budgets to actuals.
  • Ensuring time charged to projects is input correctly.
  • Assisting the team with invoice queries
  • Pulling together information on Excel spreadsheets
The second aspect of the role revolves round Fixed Assets including:
  • Verifying the existence of assets
  • Fixed Asset reconciliations
  • Ensuring assets are disposed of correctly
  • Writing up Fixed Asset processes
My client would consider an AAT or part qualified AAT or someone, who is in the early stages of ACCA or CIMA with strong Excel skills and good all round accounting knowledge. You must have good debit and credit skills and be keen to learn. Knowledge of Oracle Fusion or ERP systems would be an advantage.

The client is flexible with working hours and there is parking.
